wa'alaikumsalam, wr,wb.
Thank you for visiting my website and congratulation on your decision to homeschool your daughter. I have a three years old myself. Right now I don't do much 'school work' with him. I mix several method on homeschooling with him. On homeschooling his older brothers I follow the classical approach (you can see kinzaacademy.com, Hamza Yusuf's family website; for book they also use Well Trained Mind). Buth with my 3 yrs-old, I use montessory (you could check this site:
http://members.shaw.ca/montessori4all/homeschooling.htm) and I also like FIAR (Five in A Row) study (you could google it). This method basically a unit study approach. We pick up a book and then the child will learn a lot of subjects, from language arts to math to science. This will apply also for learning simple surah like An_Naas. As for guidance what a child should learn, there is one from core knowledge series (What Your First Grader Needs To Know by ED Hisrch):
http://www.coreknowledge.org/CK/resrcs/lessons/index.htm.
When I start first grade with my oldest, we use this book as our reference. Even now (we use Calvert), I still use this book for comparison. As for Islamic Studies, I like 'I Love Islam series', it is a very comperehensive curriculum.
May Allah makes it easy on us.
